Days like this are when I'm going to miss (possibly for whole nanoseconds at a time) working in a daycare center. We spent almost the entire day outside. There was a fire drill a little after ten and then we just stayed out till lunch. After nap and snack, we headed right back out. We had to think about things like sunscreen. Between that and the sand, it was almost like being at the beach. *g*

Of course, still not knowing when I'll actually be starting school, I may find myself doing daycare work for another year in some other city (gah) but there is a definite end in sight.

In other news, my monitor is a bad seed. It has an irrational bias against me being able to see what I'm doing while working on the computer. I keep having to go off and do other things while I wait for the picture to come back. On the plus side, it's under warranty so Dell is sending me a new one. It should *fingers crossed* be here by the end of the week. So my goal is to spend the rest of the week in non-computery pursuits like finishing my boots (I'm really almost done with the first one). Then once that is done and I've got a spankin' new monitor, I want to have a fic reading frenzy of a weekend. Try to get caught up on some of the stuff that everyone has been writing that I haven't had time to read. *bg*
