So, the state of me.

I'm exhausted and cranky and I kind of hate my new room at work. I'll get used to it, I'm sure, but currently it just sucks.

The past two days were insanely crazy and today I didn't get a lunch break (which was a shame since I needed to run to CVS in order to buy some lunch - oh well, who needs to eat?) which meant it was crash time when I got home (apparently, I need to eat). One minute I was mostly fine, the next I was soaked with sweat, feeling all wobbly and shaky, and frantically stuffing all the wrong sorts of food into my mouth in a vain attempt to make myself feel better. Real food was eventually obtained, though, and I'm feeling much better now.

There are some good things, though. I'm very grateful that my family is all safe from the flooding in central and northeast PA. [livejournal.com profile] westwindschild, [livejournal.com profile] wbkbb and Younger Brother were all evacuated, but they all had somewhere to go, so as far as I know, none of them ended up in emergency shelters. WWC was the hardest hit and it will take a long time to get her life back to normal, but she and Nephew are safe and dry, which is the most important thing.

And it's the weekend. Two days to relax, get caught up on household chores and shopping, and hopefully sleep in a bit. Mornings have been extra hard this week, so sleeping in would be really, really nice.

Glad you eventually got some real food into you. It's hard enough getting back into work after a few days off, hard enough to adjust to different work conditions, but to have to get through a long day at work without food is just miserable.

Had good news regarding my situation; still gonna be ugly, but maybe not nearly as ugly as I thought. Yay!

I saw your post. I hope it works out that you had less water than you were expecting in your house!

I hope that next week is much less stressful. In the meantime, have a great weekend!

Hello! I'm sorry your week was hectic :( I was starting to worry a bit about you. I sent a text wednesday night about the gym but you didn't answer back; I figured it was a long shot to go (and I didn't go by myself either). I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend.

Sorry about the missed text. I didn't realize my phone was dead until this morning. And I still haven't actually plugged it in to recharge it, for some reason.

I would like to get back into the swing of things next week, though.

Sleeping would be most excellent. I feel like I am way behind on that. I am working my night shift now and I hope to have a nice sleep as soon as I get finished.

Take care of yourself. Glad your family are all ok.

I hope you got a good sleep. I slept in this morning despite the cats' insistence that I GET UP! GET UP! OMG GET UP!!!!

I finally slept and I really, really, needed it. DragonCon wears a person completely out. Still, I think I'm going to try very hard to come again next year. I think I'm hooked on it now.

Here is advice from the nurse. When you crash like that eat something sweet even a spoonful of honey or something similar. Then get some good protein--cheese, milk, yogurt, peanut butter. The honey takes care of the short term and the protein give you something to go longer on.

Hope next week is better.

Thanks for the advice. I usually do go for protein when I start getting wonky, and last night I went for chocolate in the short term (I don't have any honey). But because I have very little self-control, I kept eating it until it kicked in, when I really should have stopped after one or two pieces, lol.
