Rain!

Perfect Fall weather today, even if Fall doesn't technically start for a few more weeks. A nice steady rain, temps in the low to mid sixties. Earlier, the wind and rain both picked up, the tops of the trees were thrashing all around, the rain came down in heavy, slanted sheets. I don't know why, but this weather appeals to me so much more than hot, bright, sunny days.

Your weather is just like ours and I am loving it too. It is so nice not to have to run the air conditioner in the house and I have always adored rain. I couldn't be happier.

Even the stinkbugs seem to have settled down. maybe the cooler air helps to make them go dormant or something. I'd be happy if it could be like this all the time.

It's good weather for a Saturday morning - it gives everyone a good excuse to sleep in! Sandy, unfortunately, did not get the memo on this and wanted to go out for a walk in the stormiest part of the storm at 6:00 am, despite having me up three, count 'em, three times during the night. I ignored her as best I could and slept in until 6:30. Every little bit of extra sleep counts I guess.

The cats were surprisingly well behaved. Mal let me sleep until eight before insisting I feed him, and then eventually resigned himself to the fact that I was going back to sleep again afterwards. Poor boy, he wants everyone to be up once morning has arrived.

Hmmm. I don't think I would call rainy weather perfect but I understand the appeal of the cooler temps as long as they don't get too cold too fast. I am hard to please, maybe.

I don't like rainy weather as much when I have to be out in it, or it prevents me from doing something, but on a lazy Saturday morning, I love a good storm. And now there's a fresh breeze, the sky's a patchy blue and the sun just came out. It's truly beautiful.
