lyda_pearl picked me up from work this evening, so I wouldn't have to walk home in the wet and wind. She is the best!

Now we've got the heat cranked so that it's nice and cozy inside while the wind whips the rain around outside. It's nothing like a serious storm at the moment, but the wind is trying hard to make the rain go horizontal. I've got cous cous cooking on the stove, LP made some sort of pumpkin beer bread for dessert, and it's shaping up to be a fairly lovely evening in.

Let's aim for Wednesday morning and see from there. I feel kind of pressed for time this week; I will feel better when I have the scavenger hunt game done. The actual pictures may be pretty lame at this point.

I'm glad you got a ride home. I was thinking about you at "walking home" time and hoping that LP was able to spare you a long wet and nasty walk. The cous cous and pumpkin beer bread both sound tasty!

I'm leaving the pumpkin beer bread for tomorrow, it seems, since I've used up all my calories for today. But it will be something yummy to look forward to when I get home from work.

I suspect tomorrow will be fine. Wet and windy, but nothing that really falls outside the parameters of a normal fall storm - except for duration, maybe.

Luckily, the storm mostly blew itself out before it reached us. The rain is endless, but it wasn't even as strong as most of the regular storms we get.

We never had anything like a real storm in our corner of town. Some strong winds on Monday night, but even then, it was just a strong steady wind, no huge gusts or anything. I hope things didn't get too bad for you.

How you are still safe and warm. We have snow here as of about an hour ago but so far my power is still on, knock wood. Planning a day inside under the covers with video if the Internet stays up. If not, a good book will do nicely.

It never got terribly stormy, and we're well above any flood areas, so we've been sitting pretty. I was very happy to hear that your area didn't get flooded this time!
