Happy Halloween to all who celebrate such things. Happy end of October/tail end of Superstorm Sandy to all the rest of you.

I'm heading off now to go marshal the troops for a little Halloween parade around the school. Can't wait to see what kinds of costumes all the little kiddies wore today.

We had some pretty good costumes this year. Three identical Spiderman costumes. And the best kid's firefighter outfit I've yet seen.

The costume parade went better than expected. We didn't lose anyone, no one cried, and we made it back to the room in time for snack. I call that a win!

My Experimental Psyc students demanded that I wear a costume yesterday. They made this demand about 5 minutes before the start of class, so my options were limited. I taped a number of Texas-themed playing cards to myself and drew a red splotch on my forehead with a dry erase marker and said I was a poker player who'd messed with the wrong person.

Sounds like an excellent costume. And it would be perfect for a Western themed costume party. I'm not saying anything, just sayin'. :)
