I got about two-thirds of my Christmas shopping done this afternoon, and then went to see The Hobbit, with [livejournal.com profile] ani_no_mouse. From a book purist standpoint, I knew there would be a few things that diverged from my vision of the story, but I really enjoyed it despite those few things. I'm feeling squeeful. Sadly not much inspired to do any writing, but squeeful none the less.

I don't have the urge to write anything either but I *loved* the film! It made me very happy to watch it but so far, no writing.

It was a great day from my perspective (despite the Christmas shopping craziness). Thanks for sharing it with me!

No, no movie-based fic is forthcoming, but Martin Freeman's younger Bilbo has really made me itch to get back to "Eleventy-one"! Which I cannot do until my Yule Exchange fic is done--so I suppose you could say it is inspiring me to write!

And do so hope that soundtrack is under the tree at Christmas! It was near the top of my Amazon wish list and the DH was on his computer the other evening...

Glad you enjoyed the film. I expect I will see it while in GA so maybe I fill finally know a little about what you are talking about with the hobbit talk.
