On Christmas Eve, the prediction for this storm was lots of freezing rain and sleet. Ten minutes ago, that prediction looked pretty good. Then I went to weather.com and saw that we were in fact in range to get the snowy bits and they're predicted 3-5 inches today. I looked out the window and sure enough, it was snowing and sticking to the ground. It's like magic, how it changed so fast.

Yesterday, we were up in Grove City for Christmas with [livejournal.com profile] ani_no_mouse and [livejournal.com profile] wbkbb, and they had a good inch or inch and a half on the ground, so it was a white Christmas for us, as well. It looked pretty and we went for a little walk with the dogs after dinner, tromping through the snow.

However, as pretty as it is to watch the snow fall and accumulate, now that the temps have dropped below freezing, I'm realizing just exactly how big a gap I have in my windows. Even with the curtains pulled closed last night, I still had quite a breeze blowing over my face every time I emerged from my blanket cocoon. Not so warm and cozy, really. I guess that means my primary task for today is to put the plastic up on the bedroom window.

Hope you can keep warm. I don't like snow at all.

On a day like today, when I don't have anywhere to be other than my apartment, wrapped up in an electric blanket, I love the snow. Now, if I had to go out and trudge through it to work or some such, I'd be much less enthused. :)

I've a friend in your area who is wondering how the roads will be to get home from work. Glad you can enjoy the snow from indoors!

Yeah, my sister has to go out to work in a couple of hours and she's thinking it might be better to walk the two miles than try to drive, especially since it's supposed to switch over to a 'wintry mix' of yuck later this evening. There are downsides to pretty snowfalls.

Good luck getting that plastic up and making your home a bit more cozy.
WBKBB woke up for a bit around 11:30 and emerged long enough to say that I looked cold. I had to tell her that I always walk around the house in my cap and scarf and three or four layers of sweaters and sweatshirts in the winter (and did so even in Mississippi.) Then she went back to bed. That girl does hibernation right!

Ha, while you were posting this I was on my way to Jo-Ann's in Robinson. It was a little bit icy as I was driving down, then got snowy plus freezing rain. I just got home about 10 minutes ago and the drive back was an adventure to say the least!
