Sunday small talk

First, let me say, "Happy Birthday!" to my sister, lyda_pearl. I hope you're having a fantastic day.

Another day of babysitting done. I took the Boy to the park where we played on a small climber for about ten minutes before he got bored. That was fine with me, I bundled him into the stroller and we went for a good long walk (well, for some value of long, measured in babysteps) on the Frick trails. We saw some impressive trail damage from the insanely heavy rains on Wednesday but it wasn't completely washed out anywhere. We only went a little over a mile, but Boy walked a good third of the way (he's only 19 mos, so that's not a bad amount of walking), which meant it took a long time.

Four days in a row of babysitting is a lot. While I'm always happy to have the cash, it's just as well that I probably won't have any more gigs for a couple of weeks. I need most of my weekends to be kid free if I want to have any energy for all of the kids during the week.

I totally need another weekend. I never quite got around to doing any of the necessary chores (other than laundry, I did get that done at least) and I really want another day to just relax and vegge out. :(
