It's been a crazy and stressful month or so. And honestly, it doesn't look like things are going to calm down any time soon. About three more weeks until moving day and aside from packing, I still have a few boxes to check off my to-do list. And of course all the packing. But I'll put that off till the last possible moment, of course, because I can't stand to live in a place that's all boxes and no stuff.

I applied for a promotion to lead teacher at work and am still waiting to get a definitive answer on that. An answer I was supposed to get last Friday, and then yesterday.

Lots of other stuff going on at work that makes me want to pull my hair out by the roots.

And then I get home and all I want to do is watch a nice, solid Penguins playoff game, and they go ahead and play the worst stretch of hockey they've had all season. They look like they can't wait to get out of the playoffs and onto the golf course. WTF Penguins?

But there is also good. I got a chance to cuddle one of my favorite babies of all time that isn't related to me. C is adorable and at nine months is really starting to turn into a little kid. Very interactive and playful, just a bundle of fun. Her poor mom looked a little bit fried but invited me to join her and the two kids for dinner at a local pizza joint. Yummy pizza, a little kid wrangling, a ride home and I still made it through the door in time to catch all but the first thirty seconds of the hockey game.

Also, finally buckled down and bothered to figure out how to import my lj journal over to DW, and set up crossposting. So this should cross post.

And there must have been some actual problem going on in lj-land because I just got a one-week extension to my paid account there for service disruptions at the end of April. Of course, my difficulties were still going on earlier this week, but only from home, seemingly. Weird. Maybe my wireless is really just that bad here.

Good luck with the move. I know what a major hassle that can be. I hope it goes smoothly.
Glad to see you in DW. I like the fact that people are cross posting now because when LJ is down, you can still see your friend's posts this way.

Thanks. Luckily a good night's sleep (or something vaguely approximating that) usually is enough to cure me of hockey blues. The other thing might take longer but we'll see.
