Six o'clock Friday evening is just about the best moment of the whole week. I get to leave work and don't have to go back for two whole days. TGIF!

This was the sort of week that called for adult beverages to celebrate the ending thereof. I thought about going out of my way on the way home to stop at the State Store and buy a bottle of wine, then remembered that there was some vodka left in the freezer from I don't know when. Sadly, not nearly as much as I thought; just about enough for one drink. Not that I need more than a single drink in any given evening, but still.

Some positives to counteract the grim realities of work:
1. At this time of year, the sun is hitting this tree just right to make the leaves positively glow.


2. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream

3. Monorail kitty

It's the sort of night where I'd love to be able to go outside, build a fire, drink maybe more than the one drink I had available to me, do some stargazing and just put the world aside for a few hours.

I should have kidnapped you after work! A bit too much light pollution here for real stargazing but I definitely found myself looking up when I was sweeping the driveway this evening.

That reminds me I gotta look for what needs to be done to get burning permits in Chippewa, for the Halloween party...
