Went to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with some friends tonight. I'd heard a number of good, bad and indifferent comments on it, so went into it with minimal expectations. It was just what I was hoping it would be, fun and entertaining, with lots of references that I remember from the books (read long ago) and some that remind me that it's time to read the books again. One friend who thought it was not that great complained that it was more a series of skits than a movie. I can see where he's coming from, but that's one of the things I liked about it.

Came home and started playing with my new iPod Shuffle. I installed the software tonight, but I'm waiting until tomorrow to pull the computer out of my desk in order to access the USB port in order to plug it in. The only disappointment was that the store was out of armbands for it. It comes with a lanyard, but I don't know how well that will work when I'm jogging. It's a simple matter to order an armband online, but it was annoying that I went to two stores and neither of them hand any armbands. But, eeee! it is so cute and tiny. I'll have to be careful to not lose it.

It really is just about the size of a pack of gum. It makes me want to go running, just so I have an excuse to use it, lol.

I want to see "Hitchhiker's Guide" too. I went and saw "Kingdom of Heaven" tonight and loved it. Very entertaining film. I need a job where I just go to movies.

I've heard very little about Kingdom of Heaven, other than that it has Orlando in it. What is it about?

The Crusades. Several of the characters in it are actual people from that period though I believe that their stories are changed in order to make the movie better. LOL Lots of armor and swords and a very large battle that reminded me a bit of Helms Deep, but I enjoyed it all.
