Have you all heard this little tidbit?

Edit: According to this post, http://www.livejournal.com/users/lost_media/202413.html that slightlytookish pointed out (thanks :D), the whole JJ comment was false and never took place. They ask that the rumor not be posted anywhere else, so I've taken it down. Still, it makes for interesting speculation with which to wile away the summer hours, doesn't it?

While I'm at it, have you seen this Lost site? It's a new fun place to play around. There are some pretty cool little tidbits hidden away, including a possibly spoilery description of the 'security system'(depending on whether they actually keep that as what it is)on a script page from an unused version of Exodus Part II, some hidden messages from the survivors and, I'm sure, other stuff that I haven't found yet. It's my new favorite site. *bg*

What I've heard, as an addendum to this, is that whichever actor it is had heard, or been told, that they were going to be killed off in the seocnd season anyway, and demanded the same money as they would get for the full season. So JJ has said that they will get 'their desired rate' for a couple of episodes and get killed off earlier, but apparently they were always going to be killed off...

This on the other hand makes me hope that it isn't Dom, because JJ has promised us it's never going to be Dom... (If we can trust him now that some of the other actors are as popular as Dom...)

And the spoiler quote doesn't mention the sex of the actor in question, so it could be one of the women.

I tried to track down the original interview and couldn't find it, so had to go with what I had, which was the LOST-TV.com announcement about it, which had JJ saying, the actor will be payed his desired rate, which does seem to indicate one of the men. I'd be just as happy if it was, say, Maggie Grace, who's character doesn't seem to do much.

My friend heard another radio interview with Josh Holloway, in which he claimed to be really dissatisfied with the finale, saying that he didn't think that it revealed enough. Not sure if that's true either, but perhaps he's the one whose job is in jeopardy, after those comments.

Who knows? Personally, I believe that those involved with LOST leak things to the media just to play with our heads. But then, I have been told that I have "trust issues."

I read part of an interview with Josh Holloway. He said he didn't love the finale, because it tried to do too much, but that he did like it.

I'm glad to hear that the interview with JJ wasn't true. That's the sort of thing I hate to hear.

JJ's much too canny an operator to give away secrets like that unless he had some sort of ulterior motive. Plus he never mentioned if it was one of the original cast or if it was someone they'd be adding in the next season, like Michelle Rodriguez.

Or possibly I'm just delusionally clinging to the hope that my favorite characters WON'T DIE! Oh please don't die. *whimpers*

I am clinging to the same hopes, and refuse to believe there's anything delusional about them. Admittedly, some of the folks I like may die in the next season or two, but I'm keeping the faith that my favorites will be kept safe and sound. Or at least, tortured and angsty, but still alive, lol.

I'm not discounting the rumor, but at the same time, I'd be very surprised if any of those actors risked being written off of that show.

That being said, the first actor that came to mind was the girl who plays Shannon. I think she has the least amount to do of the entire cast and is the weakest character. Plus, if other rumors are to be believed, she's going to be cast in X-Men 3, which would raise her stock, at least in her mind, and might cause her to go back and ask for more $$$.

They already threatened her character if she took the role of Kitty Pride, thus she is not.

I still think it's gonna be Terry O'Quinn. I love Locke, but I think they're going to reach the point with him where he's going to push his luck with the island too far and it's going to kill him.

But then, officially, JJ's comment never happened (http://www.livejournal.com/users/lost_media/202413.html) and this whole discussion is moot. Don't you just love the way they cover their butts?
