Grass and Sky

As far as Pittsburgh sports go, yesterday was a bust. The Panthers lost to Cinncinati in a frustrating, down-to-the-wire game. The Penguins lost to Chicago in a frustrating, down-to-the-wire overtime game. At least the Pens managed to get a point (the first time they've lost in overtime all season).

As far as cookie making goes, yesterday was a pretty good success. I haven't made cookies in years (my kitchen accessories don't include any of the requirements for baking) and wanted to try some new recipes. This could have been a disaster but it worked out well. I found a recipe for candy cane cookies which, after burning the first batch, turned out really yummy. We made several dozen shape-cookies and spent the late evening decorating them with often hilarious results.

And in bonus goodness, eve11 found some old baby pics (and a mini-movie) of Mal. Aw, I forgot how cute he was when he was a little munchkin!
