It's been a pseudo-eventful day.
lyda_pearl took the major step of buying furniture this week. She and Mr. P have been living a somewhat furniture-less life for many, many years now, and it seemed the right time to do something about that. So she bought a huge dresser for the guest room (where I am currently installed) and two nice, big bookcases for the living room.
I've been keeping most of my clothing on a bookshelf and in the bottom drawer of a blanket chest up till now, so this is a major improvement for me. An actual dresser for my clothes, yay!
To top that off, we went to North Conway to do some shopping at the Outlets this evening. There are a wide variety of stores to choose from, but we only went to the Gap. Not a place I ever shop at because I'm a cheapskate and I can't bear to spend actual money on clothing, but they were having great sales today. I got two turtleneck sweaters, one heavy-weight and one light-weight long sleeve shirt, a hoody, a scarf and six pairs of socks. More clothing in one trip than I've ever bought from the Gap before with all previous trips combined, but I couldn't resist. I've been feeling really cold lately and my two warm shirts just weren't cutting it, lol.
Tomorrow is the River Fire and a Halloween Party that I've promised to go to with CG. Sadly, I also work a full day tomorrow and I'm already running on empty after getting about three hours of sleep last night. So it's an early night for me tonight. I'm going to go load up the new dresser and go to bed. 'Night, all.
