I'm noticing a pattern here

My dsl equipment arrived today. I've spent all afternoon (going on five hours now) getting it set up. Hm, you say to yourself, it didn't take me that long when I set my dsl up. Well, that's because the internet gods smiled upon you and hate me.

Just now I spoke to tech support for the third time and they said it's because my service is supposed to start tomorrow. Of course, that doesn't explain the phone call from Verizon this morning saying that my account had been activated and I could install my equipment whenever I wanted. So just wait, the guy says, until after six o'clock tomorrow and all will be smooth sailing.

I'll wait, but I'm not holding my breath. I've been down this road before and it's a very, very bumpy road.

The same thing happened to me...and it was working before they said it was.

It was on and off last night but I was able to post from home. Yay! It seems pretty solid right now, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't go away at any moment.
