Okay, that was weird. I'm guessing Mal must have stepped on the keyboard and hit the wrong key (which one I don't have a clue) because while the cursor worked, the computer was taking no input from the keyboard. Luckily, restarting fixed whatever was wrong.

I've been kind of half-heartedly thinking about pumpkin carving designs and such, and while I was lying in bed refusing to get up this morning, the plan came to me. *rubs hands in evil glee* I'm still working on conceptual drawings to see if I can get something actually possible out of this idea, but I'm excited by it. Now if only I could come up with something better than a Peacekeeper Zombie for a costume, I'd be all set.

And, in a bit of happy news, rumor has it SGA has been renewed for a season five. I'm still waiting for official confirmation (an article in Variety doesn't quite count, there) but I'm cautiously excited.

Once again I'm a little worried about my cats. Tookie and Thor aren't eating much, which means Mal is eating everything in sight and turning into a fat little cat. I'm not pleased. I want to the older, skinny kids to eat more and Mal to eat less but I don't know exactly how to accomplish any of that. Part of Tookie's problem is simply that I've almost run out of meds for her and haven't been able to refill the prescription yet, so she's on half doses at the moment, to make the meds last longer. I think Thor's problem is that he's coming up to the time of month when he needs his meds and he always gets a little poorly right around then. But I can't just stop putting food out for them, and yet, when I do, Mal eats it all. And he really is starting to get a little plump.

Any suggestions?
