Well, I have the head mostly shaped out. Now I just have to figure out how to do the texturing. Tree bark is a pretty intricate texture and I tend to not be all that patient or detail oriented when it comes to things like this. Anyway, that's the next task.

The weekend

Yesterday was mostly a write-off, as I slept in and then sat on the couch watching tv and reading Darths and Droids online. I did pull out a few of my old costumes to see which pieces I still fit in and which I don't. I'll be able to take my Steampunk Five along to Dragon*Con so I'll have at least one other outfit to wear. Yay!

I slept in again today but then got going. Looked at a few more clothing items that either were used in a costume or could conceivably be used in a costume if something appropriate comes along. Did a load of laundry (washed, dried, folded, put away); loaded the dishwasher and washed some of the plastic food containers and such; cleaned up the kitchen counter; cleaned the bathroom sink/counter and the toilet; vacuumed the rugs in the living room. Then I put on the Pirates game and spent several hours working on Jabe's head. Not a bad Sunday.
