I'm wired

I'm all wired up on Dr. Pepper and kettle cooked blue potato chips. And maybe some Dove dark chocolate.

I started organizing files today. Spent some time in the morning rousing the admin staff to a proper appreciation of my need for archival boxes, asap. I felt a little bit like a prima donna, but I got what I wanted. Building Manager ordered me boxes this afternoon and he expects them to arrive early next week. Yay! Now I just need some place to put them once they're filled. Right at the moment, I'm working in a co-opted corner of the resource room, junky boxes piled high, some on the floor, some on one of the lunch carts, etc. At least with proper boxes I'll be able to tidy it up.

Now I have four lovely days off in a row. This is just about as good as it gets, people. Tomorrow, if I can overcome my natural laziness, I'm going to head out in search of turkey/cranberry/pumpkin pie cooked by someone not me. Maybe a visit to the grocery store, browse the bookstore, etc. If the weather's dicey, I'll just hang at home and be happy I'm not driving anywhere.

Your Thanksgiving plans sound lovely! I will be in a car most of the day driving to and from a dinner. Next year I plan to do something most quieter. (Those were my plans this year too but someone changed them for me.) Happy Thanksgiving!

good luck on the meal plans! Will the bookstore be open? My bookstore, Amazon never sleeps but it ain't the same as really browsing real books. Have fun.

Sadly, B&N was closed. I did check the website before heading out this morning, but they didn't have any info about holiday closings so I figured I'd just mosey on by and take my chances.
