I ended up digging my camera out this afternoon and took a few pictures. First up, my sole attempt at capturing the beauty of the fall foliage.

This is the view from my little back deck. The big oak is a little past its prime, with more brown in it than a few days ago, but a few days ago it was gray and raining, not great photo weather.



And then on to the kitty pics.

Zoe has been thinking about getting up onto the mantel all week, but waited until today to finally make the decision. Once up there, she promptly set about knocking down everything in her path.



"I shall call this mantel, My Mantel." And then she settled in to graciously receive the adoration of her enthralled subjects.



This is clearly one of her favorite things to do. This time she removed herself to her favorite spot on the sofa to receive her adoration. Or perhaps she is communing with Ceiling Cat, judging by how her head is always angled up like that.



"O hai! Watcha doin'? Lemme see." Time to get up close and personal with the camera.



And one of Mal, being utterly adorable, because kittey picspam cannot happen without Mal.

I admit I'm a bit biased, but I think they're both very cute, as well. :)

It's been wonderful to have such gorgeous views outside my window the past week or so. I'll miss it when it's gone.
