I don't think I've ever been so happy to have eve11 cancel on the gym. I was dreaming this morning that I was sleeping at work. I was too tired to get up and go home so they had to carry me. I woke up really wanting to call off so that I could stay home and sleep. At least I was able to sleep in more than usual. I don't have to be at work until 11 today.

Gah! I hate it when I'm so tired I dream about sleeping.

Heh. I didn't get to bed until after midnight last night, plus I was not feeling well this morning AND I didn't hear the alarm go off until about 20 after 6 -- so I figured, "You know, today's a good day to just sleep in".

I'll be skipping the FCG meet this week -- I'm just going to hang out up here in Zelie for today.

I'm still debating the FCG. I bailed last week so I feel I should really go tonight, or they'll kick me out, but I'm once again feeling a bit ill from being so tired. Gah! I suppose I need to make up my mind soon so I can let them know whether to wait for me or not.

Totally unrelated to your post, but, WHERE did you get that disturbing icon? Is it really as disturbing as I'm making it out to be or is the boy just taking a nap? ;-)

He is not just taking a nap, poor lad. This icon is from an episode of Firefly where the main character gets shot and he spends a fairish amount of time bleeding all over everything. It's really a lovely, angsty h/c episode (with an actual comfort scene at the end, when he's recovering). The episode is called 'Out of Gas' and it expresses nicely how I'm feeling at the moment (without the pain of a bullet wound, of course).

Thank you for clearing that up for me. You see? It really *was* a disturbing pic. I thought that was blood, I did. You know, I'm pretty much out of gas today myself. Never fear, when I get home, I'm sure my boys will shower me with theirs. *sigh* To this day they swear that in the scene in Fellowship where Merry asks Pippin how many he ate (lembas) they say he was *not* burping, but rather doing something else. My Pippin is much more well-mannered than that! MALES! Harruuump!

There isn't actually any blood in the icon, just shadows across his forehead because it's lit from below the bars.

Hey, I've a question for you. For the Merry and Pippin costume that we've been talking about, did you do Merry or Pippin? I can't remember. Also, do I need to create a new costume from scratch for it, or are there some parts of you're friend's costume that I could use?

I'm using my other Mal (Nathan Fillion, mmmmm yummy!) icon just to show you what he looks like when he's not out of gas, lol.

I was to be Merry (my hair is strawberry blonde, but long so I have to do it up in pincurls and spray the heck out of it to make it do). In fact, I wore the vest I bought for the costume to work today. First time ever, since I didn't get to wear it in September.

As for what's left, alas, only a bit of hair left for the feet, but I think if we're planning this far in advance we need to do better than that. Also I've been looking for a good excuse to order me a hobbit pipe, just so I can walk around waving it in the air. ;-) And a tankard, we must have a tankard to carry with us.

We have enought time to plan so I say let's go for it! :-)

Well, you will remember that Dom had to wear a fat suit for Fellowship. That's one thing I won't have to spend money on. And you'll find that Merry has grown quite a set of knockers. Dunno how I'm going to hide *those*! ;-) I have Pippin's green eyes and I'm quite short (5'1") but other than that I'm not at all Pippinish.

HOWEVER, I am exceptionally good at imbibing of alcoholic brews of all kinds. Which I hope you will join me in doing. Got to play the part, ye know. ;-)

Well, I'm not the champion beer guzzler that Pippin is (in totally unhobbity fashion, I loathe beer) but I'm sure I'll find something suitably alcoholic to imbibe with you.

I'm also about 5'1" in height and I have vaguely green eyes. And my hair is sort of somewhat pseudo chestnut in color so that might do, and it should be long enough by then to pass muster *crosses fingers* I really don't want to have to search all over creation for a wig.

But I'm certainly going to have to bind my breasts (I'm wondering how painful that will be?) Luckily, hobbits wear nice, loose clothing, so some sins can be hidden under frock coats and baggy trousers.

This is going to be so much fun!

Honey, there isn't enough binding in Middle-earth to bind *my* breasts, so I think the crowd at D*C will just have to practice a little suspension of belief. ;-)

And I, too, loathe beer, but give me some Captain Morgan Parrot Bay and I'll be a happy hobbit. A tipsy happy hobbit, but a happy one nonetheless. And I know all the good hobbity drinking songs. I daresay we can make up a few ourselves. ;-)
