I've been Little Miss Crankypants a lot lately, so I'm going to try doing a daily Positives post, starting today. Maybe this will help me see the sunny side of life.

*One of the kids at work, who rarely says even a single word at a time, was so excited about the snow we got today that when his mom picked him up, he burst out "mama, there snow!" What made it a lol moment was that he was picking up some rice at the time and his mom said, "that's not snow, that's rice. Rrrrrriiiiiccccce. Rice."

*My apartment is probably about 60% decluttered and it's so wonderful to have a little more room to move around.

*We got two-three inches of fresh snow this afternoon. Walking home, a few of the houses still had exterior garlands or lights from the holidays and seen through the new snow, in the dark with a light snow still falling, it really was exceptionally beautiful and serene (even with traffic).

*Mal was very playful this evening, dragging Maggie's new toy all around. I love watching him play, especially on the rare occasions, like tonight, when he's content to entertain himself and doesn't demand that I do most of the work.

*I've been watching South Park on Netflix and for some reason, I'm really entertained by the fact that they have an actual child voicing the toddler Ike. His random insertions of 'cookie mo'ster' and 'no kick da baby' make me smile every time. I must be a sucker for toddlers or something.

I love Ike. I wish he were in more episodes.

I started trying to post good things and so far, all I'm posting is what I eat. I'm not at all good at positive. You are doing much better than I am. : )

I suck at positives, too. Today was relatively easy because I used things that had been happening for over a week, but from here on out, I'll only have one day's worth of material to work with. We'll see how it goes.

There's a neighbouring house to where I'm staying now that still has their Christmas tree up and some lights surrounding the framing of their patio. Since it's dark 20 out of 24 hours a day here, I get to enjoy the view, and with all the snow it is very beautiful indeed. :)

That sounds beautiful. I'm just as glad, however, that we get slightly more than four hours of daylight here, lol.

60% decluttered is impressive. I feel stuck in neutral coma land. But, I do have goos organic fairly traded coffee so things could be much worse.

Mm, coffee. As long as you have good coffee, there is always at least one bright spot!

Sorry you've been stuck in Crankypants land. I've been stuck in neighboring Sickville. Hope we can both move out of these sucky places soon!

Have fun with the kids--or at least their voices!
=D

Of the two, you're definitely in the worse neighborhood. I really hope you start feeling healthy again soon!

Cute kids! Cute cats! Your post made me (miss crankypants the second) smile. Thanks!

sounds like alot of positives. Keep it up and I hope the Crankypants go away soon. Spring will help for me but I hope you don't have to wait that long.

I would be feeling a lot less crankypants today if it was a home day. There's snow out there, most of it unshoveled, and I shall have to venture out into it soon. The snow is beautiful and peaceful and gentle and all that, but walking to and from work in it is just annoying and exhausting.

I do not miss working with kids, at all at all, except on occasion when someone reminds that sometimes they are cute rather then eternal terrors. Then I miss it. A little.

60% decluttered! Impressive. Maybe you'll inspire me to attempt the same.

I'm hoping that some day I'll get a chance to not miss working with kids, lol.

Hurray for the positives. I hope they help you keep some happy moments in your head to pull out for emergency mood repair!

It's sad that I have to make a special point of finding the positives while the negatives just seem to jump out at me. But it's better than never seeing the positives at all.
