Positives (in just under the wire today):

*I slept in super late and it was lovely.

*The Pens overcame the Bruins, 3-2

*The Steelers beat the Ravens for the right to stay in the playoffs.

*The Pitt Panthers beat Seton Hill to give Pittsburgh a trifecta of win.

*Mal and Maggie were very cute today, chasing each other around and batting at each other while all stretched out on the carpet.

Sleeping in is the best. Too bad the cats didn't get the memo today - they started asking for breakfast at 6am. Ridiculous little beggars, they are.

I've noticed that my dogs really don't care what time we go to bed (e.g., 2:00 last night, if you can believe that of me), or even if I get up some time during the night to let them out, they still want me to up and taking them for a walk at the same time. Teaching them about "weekends" seems just about as hopeless as teaching them the concept of "fiction" (i.e., "it really is NOT necessary to bark at dogs on TV. They are representations, not the real thing.")

Since I *never* feed my kids much before eight or eight-thirty in the morning, I'm not sure what Zoe was hoping to accomplish, but maybe Mal ate all her food at bedtime or something.
